reset.css

Start Your Documents Off Right

UPDATE: As many people have pointed out, this page is identical to Eric Meyer's reset.css page (http://meyerweb.com/eric/thoughts/2007/05/01/reset-reloaded/). My buddy who gave me the content told me it was his own, and I took him on his word. Please accept my apologies.

Each browser has different default values, so it is important to reset their default values to something that you can control. I use the reset.css document in my page before I include my personal style sheet so that I know each page will display similarly in different browsers.

To use the code, copy the code below and link to it in your page.

NOTE: If you have an already designed site, be careful with using this document, as your site's look and feel can be changed by resetting everything to the default. html, body, div, span, applet, object, iframe, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, p, blockquote, pre, a, abbr, acronym, address, big, cite, code, del, dfn, em, font, img, ins, kbd, q, s, samp, small, strike, strong, sub, sup, tt, var, dl, dt, dd, ol, ul, li, fieldset, form, label, legend, table, caption, tbody, tfoot, thead, tr, th, td {
