About Me
Can't get enough web development
To begin with, I have only been working with the web for a few years, so I guess that makes me kind of a newbie. But in those few years since I have started, I feel like I have amassed a career's full of knowledge.
Let me give you a little timeline of my jobs and experience and I will let you draw your own conclusions.
- 1996 - 2001 - Convinced my parents to sign up for internet access and started creating my first web pages on Geocities and Angelfire (anyone remember them?). Boy were they ugly, but I was already taking a liking to the web.
- August 2001 - I began my college experience at good old TCNJ
and went into college majoring in Computer Science. - September 2004 - Landed my first job working with the web, at Set Now Solutions
, a full scale web development company located in Ewing, NJ. I began as an intern, but became a full time employee after my graduation.
- May 2005 - Graduated from TCNJ with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Statistics.
- May 2006 - Switched jobs from Set Now Solutions to become the 'web guy' for an benefits brokerage and administrative services company CBDI, Inc.
. With any luck, I will be able to stay at my current position for a long time and continue to learn and grow as I go. - June 2006 - Decided that since I didn't have enough work to do at CBDI, that I wanted to create my own web site to share some of the knowledge I have amassed with others.
- July 2006 - ? - Who knows...the possibilities are endless.
So thats it, only about 3 years of web development experience with current technologies, but to me, it feels like a lifetime.
Now I think that I am in an envious position. I have a great job where my boss lets me be creative with what I do, and I am doing something that I love. You just can't beat that.
